In the summer before any weather cataclysm, whether it be a thunderstorm, just a downpour or a flurry of wind, all living creatures, including butterflies, looking for shelter. Hollow or simply crack in a bark of a tree, a crack in a fence or a wall of any structure-all will fit if you can squeeze in it... Very often before the storm you can literally see the pilgrimage of Scaly winged (butterflies) in the porches of houses (if the doors are open), in apartments, balconies. Just last week I caught in the country house and released into the garden more than a dozen different butterflies that hid in the house on the eve of the powerful front of the thunderstorm. And yesterday, in the city, before the storm began gusts, Urticaria (Aglais Urtikae), one of the most common butterflies in our city, flew to our balcony. She was not afraid of the height of the 8th floor and dived into the cozy, warmed up by the sun, the silence of the balcony. And it was very timely, because the most powerful gusts of wind began in a few minutes.
In the evening, when we with Mikhanya returned from a walk, and the wind died down to quite acceptable, the hives were safely released into the city twilight.
@spinner I love butterflies!!!!
