I am still enjoying seeing your wonderful pictures of the trip to Alps, it is unbelievable how high the place is, with the snow adn glacier even in summer. I can understand people like hiking there it must be an unique opportunity. Also I love those little houses all over the hills, they look so cozy and inviting, tehy might be also a kind of house for rent for tourists.
When you were writing about the becoming cold up on mountains I could feel a cold breeze and shiver myself. Wonderful diary and beautiful photography :)
