The Dolomites a UNESCO World Heritage Site

My holiday in the Dolomites

In October 2015 I traveled with my wife to a small mountain village called St. Magdalena in the Dolomites. It was a wonderful trip and an unbelievably beautiful place.

The Dolomites are a mountain range located in northeastern Italy. They form a part of the Southern Limestone Alps and extend from the River Adige in the west to the Piave Valley in the east.

We stayed at the Galreidhof which is a farm with holiday apartments. It was a little bit further up the slope from the village but it had a great view from the balcony.

We visited the natural park Puez Geisler, Museum Centro visite parco naturale Puez-Odle and we rented bikes from a local shop for a day.
