Hi everyone!
Check out my hiking day exploring these stunning lakes in The Bay Of Plenty on New Zealand’s North Island.
There are great paths so walking around the lakes is easy and the scenery is absolutely insane!
The lakes are used for summer sports like water skiing and there are awesome AMPHIBIOUS VEHICLE tours from Rotorua too!!!!
The blue colour of the lake is attributed to rhyolite and pumice on the lake bed.
The surrounding hills are so green and lush it’s a nature lovers dream!
The Green Lake is so sacred that fishing, swimming and boating is prohibited.
There is an ancient Maori burial ground in the island in the middle of the lake.
