Hello ! I am in love with historical photos, so let me share the one I prefer to you :)
Each historical photograph has a story to tell, each of them documents a major event in human history, each photo is a way to grasp the full meaning of the past.
The discovery of Tutankhamun, 1922
Howard Carter, Arthur Callender and an Egyptian worker open the doors of the innermost shrine and get their first look at Tutankhamun’s sarcophagus.
Ku Klux Klan on a ferris wheel, 1926
I have a whole file of KKK photos doing weird things ^^
Duelling with wax bullets, 1909
This picture show the first public exhibition of wax bullet dueling in America. The duels in question took place at Carnegie Hall in New York, with participants drawn from the Carnegie Sword and Pistol Club. The men faced off 60 feet apart, outfitted in black robes and face masks.
Inside a Nazi Christmas party hosted by Adolf Hitler, 1941
This image is chilling, bordering on surreal: as World War II raged on December 18, 1941, Adolf Hitler presided over a Christmas party in Munich.
Worker and supervisor at a car factory, Moscow, 1954
The distance between the two of them is too close. The supervisor has that one hand at the collar of her dress like she’s trying to slightly spread it more and draw attention to her chest. ( I am a simple woman, when I see a biceps I download )
