What is the first thing you think of when someone says Las Vegas? Casinos, shows, bars, and the awesome buffets? I bet you would never associate Vegas with nature and hiking trails. But an hour north east of the Las Vegas Strip is hidden gem call “Valley of Fire State Park”.
Drive through the scenic route or hike a few trails and you’ll be rewarded with the view of interesting rock formations, colorful layered sandstone, and beautiful canyons. If you’re ever in Vegas and want a change of scenery from the slot machines, bars and shopping centers, this park is a great place to get away from it all.
