Purple sunbird (Neckerinia asiatica) is a small sunbird species with a thin, curved bill and a tubular tongue, which is well suited to feed on flower nectar (3). There are two different types of feathers in the male purple sunbird. The breeding male metal is blush-black body, and under each wing is characterized by red and yellow feathers. On the contrary, the non-reproduction male purple sunbird has a lot of 'eclipse' feathers that look like a female, a dark line of yellow underparks and wings running in the center of the throat
