On the 16th of October 2017, something equal parts mystifying and terrifying happened. Poking your head out the window in England at 14:30 looked like this:
It is not every day that the outside is comparable to movie scenes, and yellow light had my mind twisted between "this looks wonderful, we should take pictures" and "soooo where's the comet that's about to hit?"
The real world and Blade Runner decided to have an instagram filter together
To fully document the event, like the professional I'm not, I've taken a picture of a shop display that was using pure white light in order to show the striking difference between in color temperature
Unfortunately, by the time inspiration hit me to take this shot, the effect was already wearing off. The phenomena was caused (I kid you not) by a storm: "Smoke and debris from the fires -- along with sand from the Sahara desert -- are being carried north by the storm's strong winds. Particles of smoke, dust and sand bend light to give it a reddish hue."

It was quite a special day.
