Moving onward

Moving onward

Wheels stopped and window down
looking for another time.
After thought flashed by with wry smile
opening the door and in you climbed.
Talking plainly above the rising tide
of what would reach the shore.
Leaving another's old world behind
looking for something more.

A drop in an ocean is forever lost
never again to be a me.
Yet the some of the many parts
combine for the greatest sea.
Alone the roads can be traveled fast,
together they can be felt.
Each stone and curve that winds away
unknown the hand is dealt.

Above mountains once a wall in front,
flying over the valleys deep.
the winding rivers the path to follow,
free in another's keep.
Challenge and change the moving force,
to lean headlong into gale.
Taking a new world by storm,
toward a full life set at full sail.

Great read! It's true how the constant changes in life can make us feel so small, almost insignificant in an universe so vast, but the view of the individual as part of that whole gives more meaning to existence, maybe not for everyone but at least for ourselves and for those who come with us to experience this everchanging life together.

I think while we draw ourselves into our screens, we become isolated from the feeling of our wholeness within the system.
