You don't need to go far to find beauty, it is everywhere if you pay some attention and look closely enough. It doesn't have to be special, unusual or uncommon, it can be simplest of everyday things that you may witness time and time again, walk by over and over with no more than a glace at the most. But, just stop and look a little closer, you will see it.
When we stop and look at the details of something a little closer than we are used to, they begin to change in our eyes, they start to become landscapes rather than details, foreign scenery that changes perspectives, makes one think differently about what it was just a moment earlier. If one can learn in that moment, what was observed can change forever in eye and, change action forever forward.
It is no different for those around us, those we may walk by or even talk to often but one day, one time, we have a chance to look a little closer, see the veil lifted, the facade drop away and hear a word or a phrase that changes the elements, shifts the mix of how we experience that person and we will never see them in the same way again.
The change, the view, our newfound understanding may not be positive, it may be harsh, rough and break a spell that was held over us but even in that moment, there is beauty. To see what was missed, to learn more, expand awareness and understanding, to change. There is always beauty in such things as it tells the story of life and our constant evolution through it where we ourselves are never static, never stationary.
As I see the world, beauty is all there is and even the ugly that exists is functional beauty that contrasts with the sublime and enhances the peaks and troughs of experience. When our personal world gets torn apart and our tinted glasses lay smashed upon the hard floor, that is when we are able to see what is truly beautiful.
Just look a little closer. You will see it too.

Makes me think about the saying "Never Meet Your Heroes".
As a kid I met Andre Dawson while he was a Chicago Cub. I got the thrill of throwing out the opening pitch of a Cubs game and hanging out of the field during warm ups. Andre Dawson was being awarded MVP of the month and while he was getting this award he called me over to be part of the little event and put me in the photos with him. He then spent a few minutes talking with me before going out to toss a ball around. He didn't disappoint, nor did most of the other players. Have run into many famous people and sports players over the years and a huge majority have been great people.
On the other hand I have run into some other players that were complete jerks. Not going to name names, but one I was holding the door open for my Wife as we walked into a resturaunt and a couple other ladies were right behind us with their guys behind them. Couldn't see who the guys were, but they weren't making any effort to get to the door and hold it open for the ladies.
So I held the door for the extra 3 seconds so the ladies could get into the building and then just because I was already holding it let the guys go too. This "super star" went and made a crack about me acting like a bitch for holding the door for guys and got into my face for "looking at his girl". At that moment the owner was walking up to greet the player and his crew. Heard what was said and asked the player to leave his restaurant. Was very impressed with how the owner dealt with everything. Until he passed away we were loyal customers.
I have some similar experiences in my recent life here with sports stars and politicians. What I find is that often those that get the worst wrap in the press (especially politicians) are the best of them in many respects.
I have never been a fan of any person but perhaps, it is better to meet the heroes and see who they are in real life. I think we now live in an age where role models are manufactured mannequins and it is no wonder so many of them are currently falling from grace in so many ways. They live conflicted lives like the majority of us but, they live large parts of them publicly and chance of discovery goes up, as does the price.
Through my work (and a few parents of friends), I have also dealt with a few of the 0.1 percenters in Finland and almost unanimously, they are among the most charitable people I know and spend great deals of time, money and energy working for their employees yet, they are also among the most despised by position. This is skewed however as the ones I know are self-made, not inheritance wealthy.
A lot of respect to the owner, so many will sell out for a little fame or a bigger tip.
We have some of the wealthiest cities in the US near me and I think most people would be shocked at the amount of money and time many of these people give to charity and church. Sure many don't, but at what I feel is a much higher rate then say the middle class they have a giving mindset. Part of that might be they can afford the money, but we all have the same number of hours in the day.
My neighbor was shocked when my kids and I shoveled her drive the other day and refused payment. She is a retired grade school teacher who is in her 90's. She needs a walker and and has a very hard time if there is any sort of snow or ice. This is the sort of easy giving back I love to do and have my kids help with. The key is not to allow them to be paid and make them understand we need to help others that can't do things for themselves. Sometimes the simplest thing will make someones day.
Hopefully these little lessons will stick with my girls into adulthood and they will be part of the beauty in the world.
Beauty is a personal perception although we can agree that there are things in this world that is generally beautiful on its outside existence. But the inner existence counts the most. It is in the worst kind of situation that you'll know the character of the person.
This piece reminds me of my first love...A Lady I called just a friend . A lday I would play with and feel nothing. I lady I just grew fund of with no strings attached and then suddenly one day she was talking to me and I got the opportunity of looking into her eyes for the very first time and that was the game changer. Till today, I still wonder how I could be friends with an angel for so long and never fell in love with her.
Really it takes just a close look at the details of something to change your entire perception about that thing and that's what happened to me. We are not together at the moment but I must say she was the beat thing that happened to me.
This is true indeed.. The everyday things we look daily at are not more than the ordinary stuff that we meet everyday. This I always notice whenever am asked a feature within the neighbourhood that I always walk through and I have no clue that it actually exists.
Like recently I got asked about the colour of the house that was a few blocks away from home. I had been moving across this house for months staring at it often and here I was, completely having no clue about the color of the building.
In the same way thats how we treat the people close to us, we underate them, often not going beyond a 'hi' and these very people are the ones that might actually get you a lifetime opportunity in earning, getting a big job, fixing something troubling you in life, when they open up to you if you decide to onetime stop and get to know them at depth.
Great pics well shot @tarazkp
Too true... even sanding a door I see beauty!
I see the startings of a decent curry there :)
love this! so much beauty around in little details, if we only stop to pay attention and enjoy for a moment in our busy lives!
One of the characteristics of man does not see the beauty that is around him and close to him and see daily always eager to see beautiful things away from him and he has better than them.

Great words. Finding beauty in the small things is one of the most rewarding experiences.
your publication is very entertaining and has a lot of inspiration that shows a lot of feeling with respect to the perspective
I'm always amazed when I stop to take the time to appreciate something like that. You can look at a whole park and appreciate the park, but what about sitting by a tree and appreciating that small part of the park. You see the animals that live there. You can tell if the ground is wet. :) You get more of an appreciation for what it's like to live at that spot.
Like you said, we can do a similar thing with people. Rather than just looking at the mass of people, stop for the one and get to know them. What's their story? How did they get there? What are their hopes, dreams, needs? It's amazing the people you can meet and the stories they carry.
The art of perspective is something very crazy
most of the time you do not see what you have in your nose
The art of perspective is something very crazy
that I relate more entertaining with respect to one's vision

Wow excellent information of yours with what you see and do not see beyond. Greetings friend
There's so much beauty in the world, in everything. But we're too busy concerning ourselves with things that won't matter in a while. If only we would pay a little attention, we would see.
#words... Lovely pictures
