I burned my back a little so I'm protecting it with the shirt, but works for the shots too. A lot of people in here (the locals) wear long sleeved shirts for swimming because they don't want to get any more darker than they already are.
I guess you are right, there is a difference between getting a tan and becoming a charcoal
