With the rise of Cryptocurrency upon us, I have been pondering what impact it could possibly have on those of us in the photography space. Though it may not have a huge affect on those who snap photos strictly as a hobby, I think any of us who do it for pay, including family, senior, and product shoots the like, will very much feel the impact of digital coins.
For example, Etherium is one of the more interesting coins to me for a few reasons. One, it allows for the creation of contracts where users are paid after completing a task. And two, it opens the possibilities of creating our own sub coins. What do you guys think of this?
Is cryptocurrency the ultimate key to making these payments quick and seamless or will it make the whole process a big headache?
Will ethereum be the currency that takes the photography world by storm or will it be one of the other thousand?
How long will it take crpytos to make their way into this space? Maybe a year or two? Could it take a decade before total adoption? Or maybe you feel it will never become and integral part of the photography community?
What benefits will digital currency have on the photo video world?
In which ways will it negatively impact us camera users?
I am very curious to see how you guys feel about this topic! PLEASE leave your thoughts below!
