What Gala Did With My Photo Is Pretty Cool: Original Photography & Animated GIF

Gala Mirissa is an amazing artist who takes photographs and paintings and turns them into animated gifs.

She was kind enough to do this with one of my photographs (model Rachelle Summers).  You can see the original above and the animated version after Gala has done her magic below.

It is a shame that despite here amazing talent she hasn't really had the attention that she deserves on Steemit.  I think initially people thought that she was an imposter so flagged her material.

I can confirm it is really her - you can see the evidence here and I know her on Facebook.

The original post where she showed it is here: https://steemit.com/thecryptofiend/@galamirissa/giving-live-to-the-photography

The model is Rachelle Summers.

Wow! I love how creative this is. I've never seen or heard anything like it. Great idea, beautiful work, can't wait to see more!

wow this looks really cool! I think a lot of people would want some cool moving gifs as their thumbnail to posts here on Steemit. Maybe she would be interested in that? :)

yes, of course )) thanks for your words

Cool! Made sure to give you a follow! :)

I'm sure she would if you asked her nicely as long as too many people don't ask at once. Maybe she could even make it a service that she charges SBD for? The first Steemit commissioned artist. I do think a lot of people would love to have animated gifs made from their photos.

I think right now she is a bit disillusioned with Steemit though. In her last email she seemed quite sad that she didn't get as much attention as she does on Facebook and other social media sites and she assumed she must be doing something wrong. I have explained that she has just been unlucky and should persevere.

Sadly most of her posts have been ignored after people started questioning her identity. She doesn't speak English very well so it confused her but I can vouch for her as I am friends on Facebook with her - it is definitely her and not someone stealing her work.

Hopefully the Steemit community will show some love for her:)

I remember seeing this a little while ago and loving it, I didn't realize that she was getting flack on her identity. Did you communicate with her that Steemit is new and identity verification is a big thing right now?

I'd want one of these, but they'd have to add the long flowing hair, or no deal ;)

Yes I did. The problem is that she doesn't speak English well and I don't speak Spanish (I think she is Spanish if I remember right).

"Maybe she could even make it a service that she charges SBD for? The first Steemit commissioned artist." While maybe not the first one, she should definitely charge for it, that's what I was thinking. Marketplace is around the corner here on Steemit soon too! Combine it with reputation and voila.

Yes it would be a fantastic way to promote herself and Steemit. A win-win situation.
