That's kind of cool. They tie their old history with their new history. And it's about their even older past. Good thing someone took the time to take pictures back in the day. Now if something happens to the mural, they'll be able to recreate it based on your pictures which are now saved in the blockchain.

It's a pretty cool town and they seem to be trying hard to revive it. Like so many cookie-cutter towns you see dotted across the US whereby many have fallen into the hopeless grip of entropy. Phoenixville downtown has a number of cool breweries, a wine bar or two, the Bluebird Distillery and lots of good restaurants. Close by the Schuylkill River, there's also access to some nice trails. And, of course, the ever popular First Friday.
For a lot of those towns that don't have large businesses to bring in lots of employees and/or customers, it can be difficult to grow. The people who live there often live there because it's where they were. If there aren't jobs, they could move away to find better work. Eventually we could see people moving back to the smaller towns, but it would take a major change in our way of life to get that to happen.
Looks like a nice town. That market seems like it would be a good activity if you were in the area!
