onward to the steps up to Sacré-Cœur. There is the Funiculaire, a inclined railway that goes up, but watching the line-up for this rather short trip, I thought I'd be up there much faster on foot. I did huff and puff on the way up, but I made it!

Notre-Dame-d'Auteuil is a Roman Catholic church on the Auteuil hill in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. After visiting Montmartre, I returned to my hosts, getting off at the Metro Station Eglise Auteuil. This was a different station then where I started from (because the tracks separate - the outbound corresponding station is Mirabeau). Sure enough, I lost my way and walked in the wrong direction, and Google maps on my cell phone froze. A short walk of 10 minutes turned into over half hour. It is frustrating, since Mirabeau is just a stone-throw away.

I finally processed these photos and uploaded them to Flickr.
I like to thank Liba Waring Stambollion and husband Pascal for their hospitality.

Hey this was a nice change of pace to get a travel post from you in my feed :) That was a lovely expedition, thanks for the trip!
Thanks - I worked half the night on this instead of sleeping!
I have to say you really did a great job on the formatting of the dual-language post, the time you spent on this really shows!
The moments that you're the most aware living with a beautiful woman are the one's when somebody from outside is making eyes at her, and jealous feelings are spreading.
Living in Paris for over 40 years one always needs some "Visitors" to show you what a beautiful city you're living in.
Otto with his wonderful & mystic trip advisor reportage did a great job.
Jules Renard used to say,"Add two letters to Paris and you get paradis".
I did not know (or paid attention) that you live in Paris. I feel the same about my own city, Vienna. When I returned after all these years in Canada, I was a tourist in my own city, not so much now that I had settled in again. Some of my best photos of Vienna are actually from the times when I visited on vacation from Canada. You should come check out Vienna some time, if you haven't already.
PS: the beer in Vienna is a lot cheaper, lol

Der Stadtteil Montmartre mit der Kirche Sacré-Cœur ist
wirklich ganz erstaunlich.
Great content, congrats 😸
thanks - I stayed up half the night to put this together, lol - as if I had nothing better to do, haha .... like: sleep!

Lovely photos, great description. I've been to Paris a few times always giving it a new chance to fall in love with this city.. I didn't succeed. I really don't like it. It's grey, it smells horribly and its very dirty.
When I went to Sacre Coeur someone grabbed my arm, put some bracelet on it and started to say Hakuna Matata and at the end asked me to give 10 EUR for the bracelet. I was so confused but managed to get rid of the bracelet and the guy as well :)
I see that you have a lovely experience from Paris. Your photos are colorful and cheerful. This is how I imagined Paris to be but never get to see it like this :)
