The village was established more than 500 years ago in the 15th century under the reign of King Le Thanh Tong (1460-1497) with the first name Dong Quyen and later renamed Phuoc Tich in the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945).
Phuoc Tich village is not only famous for making pottery, but also famous for Ruong houses ancient. The village was recognized as a national relic in 2009. This is the second village of Vietnam with the recognition.
