Perfect Sunset at Ubein Bridge, Myanmar - Cinemagraph-style (Original Cinemagraph)

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Greetings fellow Steemians, I want to share with you the feeling of standing on a patch of dry ground in the middle of the low lake watching the sun go down as the monks and people stroll across the longest wooden teak bridge in the world. Of course, without all of the very pesky mosquitoes. If you have never been, it's truly worthwhile to see all of the activity. During the dry season, things are not as greened up, however, the lower lake level reveals this bridge perfectly.

Ubein Bridge (Amapura, Myanmar)

This is a still from a time lapse project I did here. I'll post that time lapse later down the line.
If you have a photo that you would like to have an effect created such as I've done here please feel free to drop me a line.

Man you post some great stuff, awesome work.

Appreciate the comment again! This is pretty subtle, but it definitely has the feeling of calm water gently rippling it's way toward us. Have you ever thought of growing hops? There's a shortage here in CO - lots of places working on growing those - you could likely string them up as u did your mustangs (used to pick those on the roadside with my grandfather in Johnson County TX).

I'd have to check on the growing conditions that hops need, we are in a strange climate that is usually to hot to grow anything really well, except tomatoes, peppers, okra and squash, anything else grows but it doesn't like to. But I am always looking for a next good crop!

I suspect they are fairly hearty and seem to hold up here in Denver - it's been hot, but not like Texas, of course.

Stunning picture! We should go to Myanmar too... it is only a short flight away from where we live.

Yes you should go as you never know what funky changes are right around the corner. It's a place like no other and the people are generally laid back and friendly.

Why this post has a #cn tag?

I thought the Chinese users might enjoy seeing a spot that they, in general, are not yet visiting. Perhaps I shall not do that to avoid future misunderstandings!
