Flood situation deteriorated in Lalmonirhat district of Bangladesh, new areas flooded.

Due to hailstorm from the upstream and heavy rainfall, the Teesta river flows over 19 centimeters of danger. The water of Darla river also flows through the danger zone. All the rivers of the district, along with the main rivers, continue to increase.

Lalmonirhat flood situation has deteriorated due to this. The new area is being flooded. 50000 people of 50 villages of 16 union of the district are living their lives.

The water of Teesta is submerged in the locality of Mohitkhocha Kuttypar area under Aditmari upazila. Cultivating land and house-building The pond fish have been floated.

Many people have left their homes and took shelter with cows and goats. In the last three days, people living in this area have been living in inhuman life in pure drinking water and food crisis. Dry food, such as muri, rice gram, they are living in tasting. Many families are forced to drink water submerged tubewell water. They are suffering from various types of water borne diseases.

When the flood subside, I hope people can restore what was damaged or destroyed. It is not an easy feat to ne back to normal right away in situations like this.
