7 Continents: Island - wonderous place

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

It's name sounds like the mythical country of the Winter Gods: Iceland. But actually it is much more than that. It's a land of wonders and opposites. Serene landscapes meet violent geysers, giant whales swim in the sea, while you stand next to beautiful small flowers.

I put this photo of one of the giants of the sea right next to the picture of a hot geyser, pumping up it's steaming mud. Both are so powerful and mysterious. Both are moving your heart in their very own way. It's a spectacle one never get's bored of watching.

Here are some beautiful flowers and a photo of the powerful colors created by chemical reactions and substances flowing in and out of the hot geysers. Nature always finds a way to impress us - so artful and divine. Even in the smallest blossom there is still some wisdom to be found.

The end of todays post makes this powerful stream. It's frightening to watch. So merciless and angry. So powerful and raging. Yet the eyes want to stay, witness, observe. Nature is a beautiful goddess, even in it's angriest form.

Also let me give a shout out to #travelfeed and they curation team. That's a really cool idea. It's kind of hard to find an audience, even with good content. But i'm staying strong and also, it's so much fun to post here and see people like it and get inspired. Traveling the world and showing it's wonders also feels like giving something back and showing people why it is important to safe this wonderful planet.

Seeing a whale in nature must be amazing. I love them, but didn't have a chance yet to seem them IRL
