Traditional Tunisia - Terror is somewhere else

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

Tunisia traditional

Djerba is not only offering beaches, sun and the usual vacation entertainment. Getting behind the local people is much more interesting if you are open for this.

Nice people, always helpful with hospitality you do not see in our typical Western World.

Tunisia is beautiful - please ignore terror warnings

Widely publicized attacks on tourists at a beach resort in Sousse made waves through the international community and is still a reason tourism is struggling especially on Djerba - which is a shame. Terror is at the moment everywhere around the world. If you are interested in more about history and current transition status of this country I will write more soon.

Some impressions from the traditional Djerba in this post: streets, art, local life.
