Today I'd like to give you a glance at my fashion work.
More specifcally I want to show you the work of my friend Kathy Simon. Besides creating amazing haircuts, she is an educator that developed her own system that teaches geometry and structural design principles that are applied to the art of hair. She has been proven and acclaimed at countless shows worldwide. Aside from that we see eye to eye artistically and it's always a blast to work with her.
I directed all these shoots, I was the photographer and video editor. I also composed and performed all the music.
TRIBE
The inspiration for this shoot was a Clockwork Orange style gang that lives in a collapsed society but somehow, still care about their Hair and Make-up... These are screenshots from a video. I can't show you the video yet, because it has been selected for a fashion competition in London next month in the category best video (yeah!!!!!! it's already a prize for me). I can't wait to show it because I like the looks and I am proud of my beats (tr 606 sound). In the meantime check out the fashion forecast for an upcoming collapsed society...
ELEVATED
Now that the societies has collapsed a lot of survivors took refuge underground. A complexe system of teleportation, that resembles a dingy old elevator is used as a indispensable system of transportation.

My favorite steemit user @juliakponsford designed all the clothes for this project. She was also an invaluable help for everything on both of the videos shoots. She is amazing and I can't give her enough props!!

This cracked me up! But on reflection, wasn't part of the message of that movie (and book) that a society can be vibrant and "ripe" on the outside, while the internal workings go dark and mechanical?)

Yes as you may have noticed I didn't mention their name because I try to not mix my corporate life with my artistic profile!!! I will post my best photoshoots on this platform and none of my corporate works...mad love Basil.
