NASA reports that with the help of the satellite was able to capture a rare event - snow in the Sahara. It happened near the town of Ain-Sefra (North African region). Snow fell for the first time here in 37 years.
Photo in high resolution is made on Enchanced Thematic Mapper Plus module (ETM +) satellite LandSat 7. He was taken into orbit in 1999 to update the archive photos of the planet. Images from this satellite is used to map service Google Maps, Yahoo Maps and Bing Maps.
