Here are some pictures I took of the Missouri river while camping and fishing. It's about 20 miles south of Mandan, North Dakota.
I took these pictures on one of the huge sandbars caused by the 2011 flood that raised the river about 15 ft.
Left my mark in the sand and promoting Steemit to all the ducks and geese lol.
Looking north.
Looking west across the river.
Southwest.
South.
Zoomed in looking west.

Zoomed in looking south.
tadpole pond/ kiddy pool.
Sand hill I stood on to take most of the pictures. It was about 10 or 12 feet tall.
Cool little spot with kind of wasteland atmosphere there with all the sand and dead trees buried in the sand. The pictures don't really do it justice just how nice of spot it was to explore not much trash on the sand either.
I like how your account name resonates with Steemit!

Did the whole family go? I have an aunt and uncle that live in Bismarck, so I’ve been out there a few times growing up. I love watching the land turn to rolling hills. The big power lines though.. not so much lol.
Yup, they got some nice camp grounds down there and hills along the river a pretty scenic too.
Damn i've been wanting to go fishing and this spot is just awesome! Pretty jealous!!! Did you catch anything? :)
Caught a few Walleyes. The river is high so fishing is kind of shitty right now but still never a bad day on the water.
Over here in GA is the same... so much rain that even our lake is overfilled lol. I need to do some fishing myself ;O been a minute!
Awesome impressions mate!
Especially the little lake within the sand bar looks amazing! :)
Been a long time since I played out there on the river. We usually go over towards Gettysburg on Oahe . I haven’t even made it over there this year.
Lovely lovely lovely
