Our state governor just announced that they are required if we go outside, although I guess it's not enforced with criminal penalties (yet).
It's no big shock because I'm used to seeing them around Chinatown--not just during this outbreak, but for years. It seems to be a cultural thing.
But my niece works at a grocery store that requires their staff to wear masks now. They're letting her use a simple bandana because a regular mask causes her to hyperventilate.
As for me, I do my jogging in the woods where no one can see me.
