Amazing National Parks in the USA that are under threat from Trump (with pics)

in #photography7 years ago

The US has some of the most beautiful landscapes found anywhere in the world. The first ever National Park in the world was created in the US as a means to protect incredible pieces of land that should be enjoyed and preserved for future generations. These parks are now under threat by Trump's elected Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke. The Trump Administration has made it clear that they have sold out to the oil and coal industry regardless of the permanent effect it will have on our environment and climate. Luckily, a group of rebellious National Park Service employees refuse to be pushed around while their country's land is destroyed. This group is called the Alt NPS and you can follow them on Facebook here https://www.facebook.com/AltUSNationalParkService/
I like the work the Alt NPS is doing and feel that my donations are have a bigger impact than donating to an organization like Greenpeace for example. Anyways, I have put together a collection of some of my favorite pictures I have taken at various National Parks over the years. I hope you enjoy them and I pledge to donate a portion of the money from this post to the Alt NPS movement.

Your photos are beautiful! I also donate to Alt NPS and truly hope that our magnificent parks aren't destroyed by the recklessness of this administration.

Thank you! Hopefully the damage isn't irreversible and we can get back on track in 3 years.

Great post with a precious message and gorgeous photos! Resteemed!

The colours are absolutely splendid.

I agree that our national park system is truly amazing. We should be proud of it and cherish it. The idea of national park land being run privately by for profit entities makes me sick.

If some had their way we'd be seeing "Ole Faithful, brought to you by Adias" and "The Grand Canyon's Scenic Northern Rim Trail, sponsored by NorthFace. Live Extreme!"
