The Lost Forest In Venezuela

in #photography7 years ago (edited)

A peculiar place, up in the mountains, with a pleasant cold climate, the Culebra sector of the Macarao National Park, in the Altos Mirandinos of the Miranda state of Venezuela.

It is the Pine Forest, where the reforestation and the insertion of non-native species created a little not too much frequented paradise, hence the title of this publication.

The area was reforested in the 70's, when the Government took this initiative with respect to the local flora and fauna; Mainly, pine and eucalyptus were inserted, species that are not typical of the area. As a result years later, this incredible and mystical forest.

I have had the pleasure of visiting and camping in the mystic forest several times. Always carrying good anecdotes to tell. The path full of spectacular scenery will prepare you for the paradise you will find at the top.

The photos shown are a semi-professional session with friends for the simple pleasure of art and nature. Forests in particular are my favorite places to escape from reality.

Hidden places like this one are in the the corner all around the world. I do not blame the local people for not knowing, since the big buildings and the busy streets doesn't give nor track of the way. But it is important to share this localities since this planet belongs to everyone, we deserve and need to be in touch with nature.
