Here are 3 photos I took while traveling from Costa Rica into Nicaragua last week. They were taken with my Fuji XT-2 and 10-24mm f/4 lens with the Velvia film simulation setting.
This first one is the last coast of Costa Rica before entering Nicaragua. The view was spectacular with miles and miles of landscape and ocean visible without impedance.
Here is a view of Lake Nicaragua from the shoreline. Along the horizon, you can make out two volcanoes which are on an island. Yes, that is an island with twin volcanoes and is NOT the other side of the lake! Lake Nicaragua is the second largest freshwater lake in Central America and it feels more like being at an ocean than at a lake since the far horizons are all water.
Lastly, here is Crater Lake in Catarina, Nicaragua. This is an ancient dormant volcanic crater which has filled in with water into this massive, beautiful lake. The minerals and natural sediment have turned the water into a brilliant ultra vibrant blue which is non-typical for a lake.
