My friend Gary and I went to Honghu Park to photograph the Lotus flowers.
The flowers are in full bloom and a real feast for the eye.
Then we saw these ladies walking past us each carrying a peculiar flat ring. We mentioned to each other that we have not seen such a ring before, it almost looked like something belonging to a racing car. But we did not give it much more thought. We were on a mission and we got right back to photograph the lotus flowers.
On my way home I walked past them, this time seeing what the purpose of those rings is. It reminded me of those pen sketches one sees in history books about torture tools of the dark ages.
I think this wheel could be used in a similar fashion as the infamous "rack"!
Our modern society goes to great extremes to nurture the body in an ongoing pursuit of longevity!
I'll say Nurture, this is what I need for my back problems.
