Relationships ... ???
It is not easy as a dog ... nowadays I have a good relationship with Lana!
But when I think back to my ex girlfriend Bentley! Now that was a girl! A handsome Malinois girl, but a tough thing. She loved me, for sure! But her love was just as intense as she was. And she was very bitchy. So she sometimes told me that I had to stay away from her stick. And then I ask you. In a good relationship is it giving and taking? Do you share everything? Woof woof. Right, so I found it completely normal to share a stick together. But no, not with Bentley! She wouldn't share her stick with anyone. No matter how much she loved me, and no matter how much I loved her. She wouldn't share a sinlge thing!
For example, I found it quite normal that if HER Lady-boss threw a stick into the water, then she would get it.
And that the moment she comes back, I'll take over from her to give it to MY lady-boss. That's how you do it in a good relationship. One time she is going to get the stick, and the other time I go. I really would have gone for the stick if MY Lady-boss had thrown that stick! But as soon as Bentley went to fetch the stick, she snapped at me when she came back with the stick. I won't step backwards that soon, but for her I really did take a few steps back. Woof!
And if that look was not enough, look at her here! Woof woof. You have to have it from your girlfriend
Well, of course it is not for nothing that our relationship is over. It was not just a matter of growing apart. Sometimes things just go differently if you want to, and there is no point in staying in them. Yet?
But the time that we were together, ... wow that was a time, I can think back about it with great pleasure. I could get red ears! We had a lot of fun together!
Like the time we found a shoe during a walk. Tell me, which owner throws away his shoes on the way? We thought it was very strange and Bentley thought in the beginning that she had found something important. But Bentley's Lady-boss was wearing shoes, and my Lady-boss was also wearing shoes!
I then barked at Bentley, "Hey woof, let's go fetch". Fortunately, the Lady bosses participated because yes, without them, the retrieving became somewhat more difficult. Action! That was what Bentley wanted. It could not be crazy enough, it could not be wild enough. As soon as there was action, there also was Bentley. It was a crazy girl!
We have run , we have played, we have barked and finally we enjoyed a beautiful sunset on the water. I can still see her beautiful slim silhouette in my mind! Radiant eyes in a sunset. We were young, crazy and in love. Oh woof, those were really different times.
Today Lady-boss tells me that Bentley has unexpectedly gone over the Rainbow Bridge! I am woofless. And even though I have not seen her for more than three years, I don't know how to bark here. I hope that Lex will run, play and fetch with her there, she will like that.
Bye Bentley, Bye my beautiful girl ... RUN FREE!
