Do not touch them, please!

Every spring the same story repeats. People bring chicks of owls whom they "saved". And every spring we repeat: Iif the chick is healthy and there is no danger nearby, then do not touch it! Parents of the baby are probably somewhere nearby. This applies not only to owls, but also to many other birds. But the kids look so helpless and cute ...

This is a chick of a long-eared owl (Asio otus). It looks cute, but an adult bird very often has a nasty temper and is unlikely to be a pet.
