#767 - Marikina Market Shots for Sunday.

Moving now to our daily shots, This Sunday morning was a refreshing and invigorating experience for my wife and me. We started the day with a 7-kilometer walk around the University of the Philippines oval before five in the morning, enjoying the cool morning breeze and the scenic views of the campus. After working up an appetite, we decided to head to the Marikina public market to do some grocery shopping. As we entered the market, we were immediately immersed in a vibrant and bustling atmosphere. The sounds of vendors calling out their daily specials, the aroma of fresh produce, and the sight of people from all walks of life rushing to complete their shopping. We navigated through the crowded alleys while weaving past stalls selling everything from fresh fruits and vegetables to meats and household goods.
Our first stop was a small store selling traditional rice cakes freshly baked that morning. Next we visited a fruit stand where we picked out some ripe papayas and bananas. The vendor helped us choose the best ones, recommending which varieties were sweetest and freshest. We also stopped by a coconut juice stall where we bought two orders of refreshing young coconut water. As we continued our shopping spree, we visited another store to buy some juicy tomatoes which is cheaper now than last month.
Throughout our visit to the market we were surrounded by people from all walks of life, young families with children in tow, elderly couples doing their weekly shopping and solo shoppers like ourselves. Everyone seemed to be in high spirits while chatting with vendors and fellow shoppers as they went about their day. The sense of community was overwhelming, making our Sunday morning market trip an enjoyable and a memorable experience.
