#853 - Dingalan Aurora Shots for Wednesday.
Lovely cold evening of Wednesday fellow Hiveans. Woke up early while it's raining, the rest of the northern part of the metropolitan are still affected by three rain caused by the typhoon which seems to be out of the country already. My son's school has shifted to online learning today because of the ongoing rain. But tomorrow will be face to face already according to the school administrator. I also talked to my father who is getting better with his health, he was trying to reach one of my brothers who is on the way home via bus, my brother was riding a bus with his family of three. It will take them a while to reach the province because there are lots of ongoing road repairs and construction along the route making the travel time longer with atleast two hours more. The only option is to use the alternative route in Pangasinan to Vizcaya road which is along the mountains but only for light vehicles, buses and large trucks are not allowed because of the narrow paths along the way.
Now for our daily shots, we have here scenes in Dingalan which is the closest town of Aurora to the metropolitan. We got there in just about four hours of travel time. On the very first day upon our arrival, we have made some arrangements with a local tour guide to accompany us together with a family from the metropolitan. We just shared the expenses for the guide and also the boat which will take us to the Little Batanes of the North that they call because the area there is scenic as in similar to some area in Batanes as what people calls it. This is me and the wife riding the banca, we have worn life vests provided by the boat operators.
Then these next two shots shows me and the wife together with our friend Dreb on the left. There's also the family that joined us together to save expenses, they were four, five including their dog which actually also joined the hike but they had to carry it with them because of the muddy terrain. The guide is the woman in blue, she knows a lot about talking, she talks non-stop 😅.
Here's some shots while were on our way down already after reaching the summit of the mountain where there's an awesome view of the terrain. My wife and I were not prepared for this hike. We only wore slippers and it's slippery because of the mud along the trek. She cried also because of it, she wasn't able to handle the pain in her foot because the sandals were slipping out of her foot. We have learned a lesson here to always bring our hiking sandals every single time.
Up in the Dingalan Mountain, the panoramic view of Little Batanes unfolded before our eyes like a painter's masterpiece.
The wife had been planning this trip for months, drawn by the promise of an untouched paradise that seemed frozen in time. And now, we stood on the mountain's edge.
The trail had been steep and challenging, but the reward was worth it.
I sat down with the gang beside me, taking in the view and feeling the cool mountain breeze rustle my hair while we post for a photo courtesy of our guide. In this moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace and contentment. It was as if all my worries had been left behind on the trail, replaced by the simple joys of being in this remote and enchanting place.
Follow me on my nature travels.
