There are many fears and phobias in the world but I have chosen to go with five and 2 of the five are fears and phobias of mine. I have chosen, Agrophobia, Acrophobia, Ptermerhanphobia, Claustrophobia and Ophidiophobia. The two phobias that I have is Acrophobia, which is a fear of heights and Claustrophobia, is a fear of small spaces. Agrophobia is a fear of open spaces. Pteromerhanophobia is a fear of flying and Ophidiophobia is a fear of snakes.

Acrophobia, so there are five great tips for overcoming this phobia but my personal tips that I use is reassuring myself and focus on the goal. Other tips include taking it slow, preparing your mind in advance and taking deep breathes.

Claustrophobia, is easy to overcome if you can control your breathing, relax your shoulders, relax your body and the golden rule is not to panic.

Ophidiophobia, I personally have no problem with snakes and do not have any personal tips on how to overcome this fear but one step to overcoming this is to admit that you have a phobia and do not feel ashamed because thousands of people have this phobia. After that you can start being around snakes and keep repeating this for a while until you’re comfortable and also another great tip is to focus on being relaxed and control your breathing.

Pteromerhanophobia can be overcomed with prescribed medication from the doctor that can be a sedative and other methods involve breathing techniques to stay calm.

Agoraphobia, this is a pretty serious phobia that can be very difficult to overcome because this fear can cause people to lock themselves inside their homes and make them not want to attend certain places and venues. Ways to treat this phobia would be therapy that would consist of, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Exposure and response prevention and systematic desensitization. Medication can be taken to control this like SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake inhibitor, Anxiolytic and sedatives. There are also options for self-care like relaxation techniques.
