In my piano teaching for more than ten years, I have encountered a variety of students, some are active, some are shy, some are expressive, some are working hard silently... Each student has his or her own unique color, which also makes my life full of freshness, but if you ask me what kind of students make me feel a little bit big?
The answer must be yes, so let's share with the readers what kind of students make the piano teacher feel big head.
01
Amateur piano learning can be less formal
Many students, even parents, will tell their teachers when they come to learn the piano, that we are here to cultivate sentiment, but not to be able to play the concert, become a pianist, and learn in their spare time. Such ideas are certainly acceptable, but they should not lead students to believe that they can not take the piano seriously, do not need to study so formally, and do not need to be so strict about basic skills.
In every aspect of the piano art, there is always only the difference between science and not science, correct and not correct, and there is no professional and amateur.
02
Slow progress, change teachers immediately
When the child progress is slow, or tired of school period, parents think is the teacher did not teach well, immediately change the teacher for the child. Actually change the teacher often to piano learning is certainly bad, first of all, every teacher has its own set of teaching methods, teaching progress and teaching style, each in a teacher, children will have to adapt to a, frequent change of the teacher, will only let the child waste should be used in time to go to adapt to the new learning piano teacher, this is absolutely not worth the cost.
Secondly, for teachers, the child has changed several teachers, and the child may have a psychological presupposition. If the teacher is too strict with me or teaching style is not my favorite, I can change a new teacher as long as I tell my parents, which will also lead to the child's disrespect for the teacher.
And, if often change the teacher, also means that, when choosing the teacher is not doing enough homework, it also tells us that when looking for a teacher must be more effort, you can find some lessons learned better students, let them introduce the teacher, or run a few more music stores, ask a few more, also can try to let the children up to the teacher's class, the teacher selection must not make hasty decisions, in case of temporary can not find a good teacher, don't be impatient, search slowly.
03
Students who often ask for leave or are absent from class
For students, generally only a lesson a week, in this case, there are still a lot of students like casual leave, lazy, want to ask for leave on rainy days, it's too hot to want to leave, leave, abdominal pain or even go out to play also want to leave, the children always varied reasons for leave, the piano lesson is always last in the choice of all children.
In fact, for the reasons that the children can overcome, the teachers still hope that the children and their parents can insist that an hour of piano lessons will not delay anything, but if they are often absent, they will delay the progress of piano learning. We all know that study is a matter that needs perseverance and persistence, the first step of which is to never ask for leave arbitrarily.
04
The problem is that teachers don't teach
Want to learn piano well, in addition to an excellent and responsible teacher, but also need children's earnest, hard work, perseverance, parents with, help and pay, and so on. Sometimes I will meet some students who do not practice hard enough. It seems that they have no practice when returning to class every time, but they are ambitious to test several levels in a recent exam. If they do not do well in the exam, they will blame the teacher for not teaching them well.
05
The piano is only for grading students
Grading test is only a test and proof of the current level, and cannot be taken as the only purpose of learning music. However, some parents or students, for piano learning, pay more attention to the certificate rather than the real piano skills, which is actually a kind of inversion of the cart before the horse.
There are also some students who think that their piano learning is finished after the examination of grade 10, and they do not need to make further improvement. In fact, this is quite wrong. Grade 10 only proves that you are proficient in amateur piano, but not professional.
Therefore, it is still hoped that those students who excessively pursue the grade examination and ask the teacher to take the grade examination within a month should arrange the grade examination in a scientific and reasonable way and lay a good foundation. They should not aim too high but focus on the piano study and take the grade examination as a supplement. Such learning is more benign.
