Jerusalem, Israel

Hello friends,

Long time no see:)...I want to tell you a story about Jerusalem, which was special for me.

I was in a pilgrimage and Jerusalem was on the list, with Holy Tomb of Jesus. The energy of that place you will not find anywhere. Maybe is about all the prayers from all the people who come there. Or maybe it is the fact that we believe in something and we feel it more and more when we arrive there...I really don't know..but something it is. From the moment when I came in in the Holy Tomb, the tears comes out of my eyes. It was something wow for me, because I don't usually cry.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre contains, according to traditions dating back to at least the fourth century, the two holiest sites in Christianity: the site where Jesus of Nazareth was crucified, at a place known as "Calvary" or "Golgotha", and Jesus's empty tomb, where he is said to have been buried and resurrected.
The tomb is enclosed by the 19th-century shrine, called the Aedicule (Edicule). The Status Quo, a 150-year-old understanding between religious communities, applies to the site.

Just inside the entrance to the church is the Stone of Anointing (also Stone of the Anointing or Stone of Unction), which tradition believes to be the spot where Jesus' body was prepared for burial by Joseph of Arimathea. However, this tradition is only attested since the crusader era (notably by the Italian Dominican pilgrim Riccoldo da Monte di Croce in 1288), and the present stone was only added in the 1810 reconstruction. All the people put clothes or other objects to this stone for being blessed.

The Western Wall, Wailing Wall, or Kotel, known in Arabic as Al-Buraq Wall, is an ancient limestone wall in the Old City of Jerusalem.
