Hello Paint Time Fans!!
Did you miss me?
I was shocked to see that it has been 7 months since I posted on my Hive. I have been a very busy painter since my last post.
I would like to blame my lack of computer skills since I couldn't figure out how to get my video editor to work. I shot lots of footage that did not make it to Hive, or You Tube.
Currently, I am working on a mural of a tree.
My brother recently lost his better half, and after a few months, I moved in with him. His porch wall needed to be painted, and all I could see was an empty canvas!
I have been wanting to do a mural, or something big; since I have been restricted to using the store bought canvases.
I may have bit off a little more than I can chew...
I started with the idea of painting a tree with the tree limbs growing into each of the four seasons. I taped some very crooked lines and started with the base coat colors I wanted to use. I am using regular crafting paints that I bought at Walmart. Once I took the tape off, I began painting the trunk of the tree.
I was taking pictures as I went, and the sun would get a shadow from the lattice every day at noon.
I decided to incorporate this shadow by painting it a pretty gold. I did this by mixing just a touch of orange into the yellow paint. I painted a smiley face on the sun and then worked on the branches of the tree. I am almost finished with the Spring portion, and ready to move on to the Summer part.
I am hoping to get this done before the cold hits, I have a feeling I will be out there in the snow finishing the Winter part of the mural.
I added a few details at the bottom of the spring part. There is a hole in the wall, so I made it into a little mouse hole. I found a picture of a mouse under a mushroom playing a guitar. I did my best. I also watched videos to learn how to paint the grass, the flowers, and a very cool birds nest.
I will still need to add the stems and leaves of the flowers, and then highlight the grass. This is the very bottom part of the wall and in the corner, so painting this part is very difficult and I have been doing a little here and there.
I did make a little video on Tik Tok.
Tik Tok is a video platform in which they have a built in video editor. You can also edit your videos in Cap Cut and then import them into Tik Tok. This has made it easier for me to create and share my videos.
Gen X is taking over Tik Tok, so I have been connecting with others around the world who have awoken to the cry of AC/DC. We all have been reminiscing about the "Good Old Days" and making funny videos to amuse each other.
I've taken this opportunity to bring back #badkaraoke and have been using the effects to create videos of me singing songs from the past, and some more recent songs.
While I am having fun on Tik Tok, it does not allow me to write my blog the way I do on Hive, so I will continue to post my Paint Time with Simgirl posts here, and if my Tik Tok followers want to go down the rabbit hole that is @simgirl they can do so here!

In the evenings her live stream focuses on learning how to use Tik Tok as a business. She is a breath of fresh air, and I attend in her live everyday.
Coach-Tye Relationship Coach
Coach Tye is a relationship coach, and also an ordained minister, whose focus is around freeing people from the narcissist spirit. He goes live daily, each day focusing on a different angle revolving around modern relationships. He also offers one-on-one counseling, and a video series through the Tik Tok application. He is the voice of reason for us empaths that want peace over conflict. The only way to win with a narcissist is NOT to play at all- leave- no contact- go ghost- stay gone!
I have not started my personal live yet, Big Girlz Dont Weap is hosting a moderator training where I will be learning how to moderate my live streams. Once I do this... and get a moderator, I will be focusing my live on "How to Sim Your Life".

I will not be selling the book this time, but will be hosting a Live on Tik Tok to explain my theory of how you can win at the game of life! I am excited to see how well it is received. Until then I will be finishing my tree, and I hope to have some more footage to share of the progress.
