Hello Dear Friends,
Throughout human history, many imposing structures have soared into the sky. Some of them were so perfect that they captured the attention of the whole world. Some of them have survived centuries and made it to the present day.
Some of these structures, which are the common heritage of humanity, are now exhibited in Eskişehir. Small models of historical buildings fascinate those who see them. I had similar feelings when I saw what I saw during my visit there. I saw these artifacts, each of which took years to build and each of which has fine details hidden in it, up close.
Now let's see these artifacts up close.

İnsanlık tarihi boyunca birçok heybetli yapı gökyüzüne doğru yükseldi. Bunlardan bazıları tüm dünyanın dikkatini çekecek kadar mükemmeldi. İçlerinde asırları aşıp günümüze kadar gelmeyi başaranlar oldu.
İnsanlığın ortak mirası olan bu yapılar bazıları şimdilerde Eskişehir'de sergileniyor. Tarihi yapıların küçük maketleri görenleri kendine hayran bırakıyor. Oraya yaptığım ziyaret sırasında gördüklerim karşısında benzer duygular bende de oluştu. Yapımı yıllar süren, her birince ince detayların saklı olduğu bu eserleri yakından gördüm.

33 Gözlü Köprü / 33 Eyed Bridge
Even the model of the bridge was very impressive. I hope one day I will have the opportunity to walk over the real one - if it is still standing.
Köprünün maket hali bile çok etkileyiciydi. Umarım bir gün gerçeğinin -hala ayaktaysa- üzerinden geçme fırsatım olur.

Taj Mahal / Tac Mahal
The story of the Taj Mahal is more fascinating than the building itself. Some of you may know its story. It was built by Shah Jahan to perpetuate the memory of his deceased wife.
Tac Mahal'ın hikayesi yapının kendisinden daha büyüleyici. İçinizde onun hikayesini bilenler vardır. Vefat eden eşinin hatırasını yaşatmak için Şah Cihan tarafından yaptırıldı.

In many cities I have visited, I have seen old train stations still in use. People are interested in old architecture. Modern buildings, no matter how much they develop, do not evoke the same aesthetic pleasure.
Gittiğim birçok şehirde eski tren garlarının kullanılmaya devam edildiğini gördüm. İnsanlar eski mimariye ilgi duyuyor. Modern yapılar ne kadar gelişirse gelişssin aynı estetik hazzı uyandırmıyor.
Ulug Bey Madrasah/Uluğ Bey Medresesi
Ulug Bey Madrasah has an important place in the history of science. Many important scientists of the period worked here.
Uluğ Bey Medreesi bilim tarihi açısından önemli bir yer sahip. Dönemin birçok önemli bilim insanı burada görev almıştır.
Han Palace/Han Saray
Selimiye Mosque/Selimiye Cami
Selimiye Mosque, built by Mimar Sinan, one of the greatest architects the world has ever seen, is visited by thousands of tourists every year. The mosque, which was started when Sinan was 79 years old, was completed in six years.
Dünyanın gördüğü en büyük mimarlardan biri olan Mimar Sinan tarafından yaptırılan Selimiye Cami, her yıl binlerce turist tarafından ziyaret edilmektedir. Mimar Sinan 79 yaşındayken yapımına başlanan cami altı yılda tamamlanmıştır.
