My dear fellow Hive group, permit me to write and share this beautiful rendition of epic poetry and an astonishing life Odyssey of madam . A woman of great repute, an achiever with astute personality.
The agrarian community of Onicha-Ugbo in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State is blessed to have witnessed, in 1923, the birth of an illustrious daughter of great influence.
Ngboyibo was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Oboko from Umuohomi Quarters in Ishiekpe village, Onicha-Ugbo. She was the younger sister of Isiwuzo Oboko.
Ngboyibo was a paragon of beauty, with mesmerizing features that stunned both her peers and everyone around her sphere of contact.
Measuring around 1.7m in height, she possessed a resplendent body complexion that integrated perfectly with the intimidating figure she was blessed with.
Wherever Ngboyibo stepped into, she turned heads easily as her curves knocked men and angels awestruck. She was the queen of slayqueens.
When she was much younger, during state functions, this epitome of natural African beauty was usually handpicked for the role of the flower girl who would present a gift or flower bouquet to the visiting dignitary. She was simply charming, Scintillating ,gorgeous and a pleasant sight to behold.
With no formal education, Ngboyibo delved into business from an early age. Through sheer tenacity and foresight, after garnering sufficient experience, she decided to launch out and establish her own sewing institute.
With the advent of her fashion outfit, she enrolled many young girls of Onicha-Ugbo extraction into fashion designing, furnishing them with the right skills in sewing.
Over some years, her training institute became a Mecca of sort for promising men in search of good wives.
For many individuals, the institute served well as a kind of matchmaking site as several influential and rich Onicha-Ugbo young men from Jos and other places visited in search of ladies to make their wives. These men were absolutely confident in the character of any lady under the watchful eyes and care of Ngboyibo.
As a result, many single ladies of Onicha-Ugbo got their husbands and started a home due to their engagement with Ngboyibo's tailoring institute.
As at that period in the history of Onicha-Ugbo town, the social circle used to be controlled by Ngboyibo who held the town spellbound with pure beauty, as men fell all over themselves in pursuit of even one minute of her attention.
What made her beauty particularly striking was the fact that she equally had a balanced personality. She was stylish, pretty, polite and possessed such killer smiles.
It was reported back then that a notable man in Onicha-Ugbo, Mr. Okafor Odeigah, had his offer of marriage to Ngboyibo turned down by her. Her reason was because Okafor was not educated.
That was even a milder case. As at then, Ngboyibo was the bone of contention in the disagreement between two very close friends - Okafor Odeigah and Osemene Okocha.
Shortly thereafter, Ngboyibo Oboko got married to Mr. Egbo from Idumu Azu who already had a wife as at the time of their marriage. She enjoyed marital life and was blessed with children before returning to Onicha-Ugbo.
As a gorgeous, enterprising woman, Ngboyibo was able to easily gain access to the Government house of former Bendel State. She became a woman leader of a major political party and was made a contractor with the government where she executed many projects.
She went ahead to clinch several lucrative deals which made it possible for her to live luxuriously.
Ngboyibo controlled wealth, dined with power and was in the corridors of influence. She steadily raised the bar for other women in Onicha-Ugbo, who got motivated to aspire higher as a result.
She ensured her children received quality foreign education abroad, and much later in life, she relocated abroad and lived in USA with her children for 16 years.
Ngboyibo, a mother of vision and wisdom, passed away at the ripe old age of 96 years, having spent her years on earth in fulfillment of all she desired.
May her gentle soul continually rest in perfect peace.
