Паметникът "Асеневци" в град Велико Търново е построен през 1985 г. в чест на 800 годишнината от избухването на въстанието за освобождение на България от Византийско владичество и представя предводителите на въстанието братята Асен и Петър, и техните продължители царете Калоян и Иван Асен II. С обявяването на въстанието Търново е провъзгласен за столица на българската държава. Царете Асен, Петър, Калоян и Иван Асен II са най- прославени владетели от династията Асеневци (1185- 1241). При тях България достига политически, стопански и културен разцвет.

With the announcement of the uprising, Tarnovo was proclaimed the capital of the Bulgarian state. Kings Asen, Peter, Kaloyan and Ivan Asen II are the most famous rulers of the Asenevtsi dynasty (1185-1241). Under them, Bulgaria reached political, economic and cultural prosperity.

Паметникът е много голям и е разположен на изключително живописно място– край река Янтра, в подножието на Света гора, до Стамболовия мост (построен по времето на Стефан Стамболов), до накацалите една върху друга къщи, придаващи специфично излъчване на града. Мястото наистина заслужава да се посети, от една страна, за да почувствате силата на тези български царе и от друга- да се насладите на великолепната панорама, която се разкрива оттам.
🇬🇧The sword, around which the four Asenev people are located, symbolizes the power and rise of medieval Bulgaria - it itself points upwards. The monument is very large and is located in an extremely picturesque place - by the Yantra River, at the foot of Mount Athos, next to the Stambolov bridge (built during the time of Stefan Stambolov), next to the houses stacked on top of each other, giving the city a specific look. The place is really worth visiting, on the one hand, to feel the power of these Bulgarian kings and on the other - to enjoy the magnificent panorama that opens up from there.
🇪🇸La espada, alrededor de la cual se encuentran las cuatro personas Asenev, simboliza el poder y el ascenso de la Bulgaria medieval: ella misma apunta hacia arriba.
