Today, we visited Saklıkent Canyon, one of the most important tourist destinations in Muğla, Turkiye. According to my research online before coming here, Saklıkent Canyon was discovered by a shepherd in the 1950s and later designated as a national park by the government, becoming one of the top attractions for tourists. At the entrance, we purchased tickets, which cost 23 TL per person, regardless of nationality. Before entering, there are places around where you can buy food and drinks. Additionally, besides the canyon, you can cross the bridge shown in the picture below to reach the bazaar area. Here, you can find various souvenirs. After a short wait in the ticket line, it was finally our turn. We got our tickets and entered the canyon.
Once we entered the canyon, we started walking on a bridge along the edge of the mountain. We were about to embark on a long walk, and this part was the most comfortable part of our journey about walking.
After crossing the bridge, we reached the actual starting point, where the entrance to the canyon begins. Here, there are shops to buy snacks and also shaded spots. Here, there are shops to buy snacks and also shaded spots. You can also purchase water shoes since walking through hard sections of the canyon can be difficult with regular shoes. However, we chose to continue with our own shoes. Once we passed this area, we arrived at one of the most hard parts of the canyon. We had to pass through water with a depth up to knee level, and the current made it even harder. Our journey through the mountains truly began at this point. It's crucial to be careful while passing this section. The rocks under our feet were slippery, and the water was so cold that after a while, our feet started to feel numb. This part of the canyon is usually the most crowded place because people walk slowly here, and many of them give up to continuing further.
After passed here, we encountered water in some areas, but it wasn't as cold as the water at the beginning of the canyon. We began our exploration, and being amidst the mountains in the heat of the afternoon gave us a unique sensation. When we looked up and observed our surroundings, we were mesmerized. We were walking through a corridor-like maze, surrounded by towering mountains.
As we ventured further, the paths became narrower, and sunlight started to fade away. We reached paths that were only wide enough for two people to walk side by side, and from a distance, it looked eerie. The way the rocks clung to each other was both terrifying and captivating. In the photo you see, the rock is positioned right above the path, creating a sense of unease as you pass beneath it. As the sunlight gradually disappeared, the beauty of our surroundings became even more pronounced.
When we reached the end of the canyon, there were guides of canyon. They informed us that if we wanted to go further and see the waterfall at the end of the canyon, they would help us. They said us, going there alone is risky and not safe. So we decided not to go there, like many others, turned back from there.

Усім привіт! Сьогодні ми відвідали Каньйон Саклікент, одне з найважливіших туристичних місць у Муґлі, Туреччина. Згідно з моїми онлайн-дослідженнями до приїзду сюди, Каньйон Саклікент був відкритий пастухом у 1950-х роках, а пізніше став національним парком за рішенням уряду та став однією з найпопулярніших визначних пам'яток для туристів. Після очікування в черзі, ми все ж таки бридбали квитки. Далі через турнікет увійшли до каньйону.
Спочатку ми йшли по мосту вздовж гірського краю. Ми збиралися пройти тривалу прогулянку, і саме ця ділянка була найбільш комфортною частиною нашої подорожі.
Після перетину мосту ми дісталися до справжньої початкової точки, де починається вхід до каньйону. Тут також є магазини, де можна придбати закуски та таке інше. Також тут можна придбати спеціальне взуття для води, оскільки проходження складних ділянок каньйону у звичайному взутті може бути складним. Але ми вирішили не купувати. Після цього ми дісталися до однієї з найважчих ділянок каньйону. Нам довелося переходити через крижану воду по коліна, а течія майже збивала з ніг. Наша справжня подорож по горах розпочалася саме з цього моменту. Дуже важливо було бути обережними під час переходу через цю ділянку. Каміння під ногами було ковзким, а вода була настільки холодною, що після деякого часу ноги починали ціпеніти. Ця ділянка каньйону зазвичай є найбільш переповненою, оскільки люди рухаються дуже повільно, і багато з них відмовляються продовжувати.
Пройшовши це місце, ми зіткнулися з водою в деяких ділянках, але вона не була такою холодною, як на початку каньйону. Ми почали нашу експедицію. Знаходитися поміж височенних гір, які створюють тінь по всій пішій зоні - це просто неймовірно, особливо у такі спекотні літні дні. Піднімаючи голову і розглядаючи навколо, ми були зачаровані. Ми проходили крізь лабіринтоподібний коридор, оточені високими горами.
Чим далі ми йшли - тим вужче ставав коридор, а сонячне світло починало зникали. Ми дісталися локації, де ширина прохожа розміщувала лише двох людей, і здалеку це виглядало жахливо. Спосіб, яким камені трималися один за одним, був одночасно лякаючим і захоплюючим. На фото, яке ви бачите, камінь знаходиться прямо над стежкою. З часом, коли сонячне світло поступово зникло, краса оточуючого нас простору стала ще більш помітною.
Коли ми досягли кінця каньйону, там були робітники. Вони повідомили нам, що якщо ми хочемо піти далі та побачити водоспад на кінці каньйону, вони нам допоможуть. Вони сказали, що самостійний вихід на цю ділянку є ризикованим і небезпечним. Тож ми вирішили не йти туди і, як і багато інших, повернулися назад.
