Pictures from my trip to Copenhagen

Well hello everybody, hope that you are all doing great, enjoying summertime with friends and family...I am!😄

The other day I went on a trip to Copenhagen, the beautiful capital of Denmark, and I was able to capture just a few of the beautiful monuments in the city, and I'm going to share some pictures of them with you in this post...

The first picture was captured at the Copenhagen town square, a picture of the town hall.
At the time that the picture was captured, the city was getting ready for a race that is held every year as far as I am informed. A race in the city with old classic race cars...some of them were exhibited on the town square..
I was happy to see that the Danish flag were flying on the roof of the building, but also the Ukranian flag was flying on the town square. As a Dane, it makes me proud to see that we are not affraid to show our support!

Not far from the town square, maybe a 10 or 15 minutes walk, is the Kings Garden. A beautiful, pretty big, green area in the middle of the city. It's a very beautiful garden, with lots of flowers and so on..

Rosenborg Castle was built in the period 1606-1634, by the famous king Christian IV, as some kind of summer residence, right outside the city walls. Later on, it actually became the king's favourite castle, and he spend a lot of time there. Other kings have used the castle after Christian IV.

The Kings Garden and Rosenborg Castle are very beautiful historic monuments situated in the very centre of the city. The attraction is definitely worth a visit if you ever go to Copenhagen.

The picture above is a picture of the Copenhagen Opera House, situated in the centre of the city.
The Opera House was built in the years up to 2005 where it was taken into use. On the 15. of january 2005 the queen opened the Opera House with a big ceremony.
The Opera house was a gift from the late Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller, a very famous Danish businessman, he was the founder of one one the biggest shipping companies in the world...It still is today!

The picture above was captured very close to the Opera House. During the last 10-15 years or maybe even more, a lot of new buildings have been built in Copenhagen, as you see in the background, some of them prettier than others..😄

The picture above was captured in Nyhavn, situated in the city centre, close to the channel system that is a part of the harbour area.
Nyhavn is very famuous for its restaurants and bars and is visited by hundreds of thousands of people every year...If you visit Copenhagen during the summertime, Nyhavn is an absolute must to visit! It is also possible to take one of the boats, and enjoy a tour of the city from the channels.

On the picture above, we are still in Nyhavn. On this picture you can see how busy the place is, how many people who are there when the weather is nice. All the way along the buildings, people are sitting, enjoying lunch or maybe a cold beer or something. It's a friendly but hectic atmosphere...I'll say it again, it is really worth a visit.

The picture above is the last one, a picture of the central station in Copenhagen. Copenhagen central station is a hub where millions of travellers are passing through every year, and it is the entry, and exit point for many visitors of the city.

This was the last picture from my trip to Copenhagen, I hope that it maybe could inspire you to visit the city if you are ever in that part of the world😄
