I am having a wonderful time crafting my own tale of Captain K. https://steemit.com/piratesunday/@handofzara/piratesunday-the-adventures-of-young-captain-k-dixiesilverminer-chapter-10-hue-and-cry
Now for the story behind the story.
One of the characters in this tale is Iaian MacDonald, alias the Pirate Jack Henry. The Pirate Jack Henry has set his heart to seek vengeance upon all those named Campbell for a massacre that took place in Glencoe Scotland.
So was there a massacre in Glencoe involving the Clan MacDonald and the Clan Campbell? Yes there really was a massacre. The Clan MacDonald had failed to swear allegiance to King William and still was loyal to the House of Stuart.

While recalling the massacre, Jack Henry reveals finding his wife and children:
"I traveled for two days, high into the mountains and into the mist. In the pass, leading down to Glencoe, I saw the first of many bodies of the women and children of my Clan, dead, frozen solid, with blackened feet and hands from the cold. Driven from their homes into the snow, into the mountains, into the mist by the troops of the Argyll. I made my way down the pass still hopeful that my wife and children had survived. Then through the mist I saw them, still and huddled together - dead as dead could be."
Where did this idea come from, dead in the snow? In true Pirate fashion, I "nicked" it from a song, Massacre of Glencoe by John McDermott, the line is "Some fled in the night, And were lost in the snow." Full lyrics: http://www.songlyrics.com/john-mcdermott/massacre-of-glencoe-lyrics/
And for your entertainment a Youtube video of the Corries singing the Massacre of Glencoe
So now you know two things, first that there was a massacre in Glencoe and second @handofzara is a font of useless information!
See Ye All Come the Morn for #piratesunday.
