As a private investigator who really appreciates this type of work being done, I'll never understand such demands.

Do not announce your plans to the enemy. Recent history has countless good examples as to why that is good advice. "I've got this dirt on such and such and here's what I plan to do." Then hours later the person who announced their plans is dead.

Just release it. Why have a list of demands? The truth doesn't need to be sold, and it doesn't need a list of demands met to provide it. Just... give it.

No one is untouchable either, and people hiding behind hacktivist handles on the Internet are no exception. The best protection a person has is to release the information widely before people can take action to stop it.

Wikileaks announces forthcoming leaks all the time. It's seems it is a strategy to build up anticipation and get attention. However, I do see your point.
