Thank you for this. That article made me scream at my computer. I went to nytimes.com today and their running new ads like this one. "Independent. Trusted. Real." It's interesting they use the word independent when institutional ownership makes up 64% of shareholders(http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/nyt/ownership-summary). The top 5 are investment firms like Blackrock Fund Advisors, a subsidiary of Blackrock Inc, "an American global investment management corporation...by far the world's largest asset manager."-wikipedia
