Düsseldorf Airport - 2018-08-11
Past Saturday it was time for our yearly trip to Dusseldorf Airport. The weather forecast was good. 22c and dry weather. After a 2 hour drive, we arrived at 8.30am in Dusseldorf.
Dusseldorf Airport is the third busiest airport in Germany. There are two parallel runways. So you don’t miss anything. A lot of German airliners fly at Dusseldorf. For example Eurowings (the largest airline in Dusseldorf), Germania, Condor, and TUI. After paying 2,20€ and a security check, we stayed the whole day on the spotters terrace.
Below a picture from Google maps.
The red circle gives you an idea where the spotters terrace is.
Below five pictures from departing airplanes on this day:
VQ-BAU Rossiya - Airbus A 319
I like these colors. It's something different than all other airliners. The Cyrillic named of this Russian airline is on the aircraft.
B-5901 Air China - Airbus A 330 300
Since a few years, Air China flies to Dusseldorf. Nowadays you can see many Chinese airliners at Europe's big airports.
EI-EVG Ryanair - Boeing 737-800
At most European airports you see Ryanair. Since this year Ryanair also flies from Dusseldorf to southern Europe.
UR-UIA Ukraine International Airlines - Boeing 737-800
Ukraine International Airlines flies to many European airports with Boeing 737-800 and Embraer aircraft. This brand new aircraft on takeoff for its flight to Kiev.
Emirates Airline - Airbus A 380
For a spotter an Airbus A 380 from Emirates is business as usual. For many people it is a happening. Everyone is looking for the takeoff of this whale…
except for the little girl in the red. :-)
I hope you enjoyed my post.
