This time I will share information about the procedure of making liquid organic fertilizer itself as simple as a complementary material in planting hydroponics.
There are so many articles on the internet that discusses the procedures for making organic liquid fertilizer or solid organic fertilizer from various materials. The techniques are all pretty much the same. What distinguishes is the ingredients of the maker.
In general, the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer is done by utilizing used organic waste that has been unused as raw materials, among others:
This liquid organic fertilizer for vegetables and vines planted in pots.
Liquid Organic Fertilizer
1. Chicken dung, green vegetable waste and straw: liquid organic fertilizer obtained by using this raw material suitable applied as a stimulating growth of shoots and leaves, because it is rich in nitrogen.
2. Goat dung, cow dung, rice husks and bran: fertilizer produced with this type of raw material suitable for fruit growth because it contains lots of potassium and phosphorus.
3. Waste fruit such as rotten guava, rotten papaya, and so forth. The resulting organic fertilizer is almost the same function as the second one.
Gedebog / banana stem.

Well, in this article I will only discuss about how to make your own liquid organic fertilizer using banana stem. For that other ingredients please if you do not disgust yourself practiced. For the technique and the procedure is not too different. If for me personally because somewhat disgusted with the name of waste, especially garbage that stinks so foul, preferring to take advantage of waste banana tree trunks that have been harvested.
Let's just go straight to the core of the problem, which is to make simple organic liquid fertilizer utilize banana tree trunk.
How to Make Simple Organic Liquid Fertilizer from Banana Trunk
Ingredients :
- Banana tree trunk: 1 kg, select the inside rod white.
- Red Sugar: 200 grams
- Bioactivator or EM4: 5 ml (if no nothing does not matter)
- Groundwater: 3 liters
- Tong or bucket that has a lid
- Used sack
Note:
- for the first experiment I suggest the composition a little bit first as I demonstrated. If it is willing to make it on a scale that is a lot more please you fold it all.
- function of bioactivator / EM4 is as starter or early trigger of fermentation reaction. Without using EM4 this is actually okay, but if it can work it out I think it will be better and faster fermentation reaction. Buy it in farm shops, on average it provides EM4.
How To Make Liquid Organic Fertilizer:
- Mix sugar with water into a bucket or barrel. Stir until the sugar dissolves in water.
- Cut the banana tree trunk into small pieces. Enter in a used sack container.
- Insert the sack containing the banana tree trunk into a bucket or barrel containing a mixture of water and sugar. Keep the sack containing the banana tree trunk submerged entirely in the water.
- Cover the barrel or bucket. Put it in a place that is not exposed to the sun directly.
- Allow about 8-10 days. Be sure to open the bar once a day to remove the gas formed from the mixture of the fertilizer ingredients, by stirring it. Then close it tightly.
- Level of maturity, smell the dough. If the fragrance is like fragrant tape means the dough is cooked and ready to use. Conversely, if the smell is a foul smell like waste / comberan means the process of making organic liquid fertilizer fails, and the liquid should be discarded.
- Lift the sack containing the banana tree trunk. Separate with water in the barrel. You get two types of fertilizer; Shredded banana tree trunks in the sack into a solid organic fertilizer and liquid in a barrel into liquid organic fertilizer.
Dosage of Liquid Organic Fertilizer:
-Untuk use liquid organic fertilizer from the manufacture above, diler first with clean water. Composition: 1 part liquid liquid organic fertilizer diluted with 20 parts clean water. But there is also suggested if the use of liquid organic fertilizer sprayed on leaves, flowers or stems then the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer to be sprayed should not be more than 2%. This means that every 1 liter of liquid organic fertilizer must be diluted using at least 50 liters of water.
- Liquid organic fertilizers can be used to stimulate the growth of leaves, produce fruits, seeds or tubers. Each spraying is recommended at one week intervals if it is dry or 3 days on a rainy season. But even this size is not absolute, adjust the type of plant to be sprayed.
Additional information:
- One day I accidentally saw the picture on the internet about the technique of growing alternative vegetables using the media of banana stems that have been cut and harvested fruit. It looks pretty interesting and makes sense.
- Banana stems that have been cut in the past and filled with planting medium and then put seed / vegetable seeds on it. In addition to the guaranteed water intake obtained from banana stems, it seems a lot of nutrients / plant nutrients that can be sucked by plant roots from the banana stem.
- Well, if the stem of bananas alone can be a good planting medium then I'm sure the extract of banana stem (liquid organic fertilizer from banana tree trunk) has a good nutritional content also for plants.
- Thus information on how to make simple organic liquid fertilizer itself that I can share. If there are things that block and the information is less fit, let us discuss in the comment field below this post. Because I'm sure there is no perfect technique, but it is a better technique than ever. Therefore do not hesitate to try. Do not worry if it fails. Enjoy the process and take lessons in every event. The final result will not disappoint.
Finally, thank you for visiting and willing to read in my post. Hopefully there are benefits to be had. Hail. @ ROJJAK.
I made it and it was amazing.
