HELLO SPLINTERLANDS COMMUNITY! ITS TIME FOR A NEW CARD FEATURE.
In Splinterlands, there are seven (7) units and each one of them stands out with their own strength. Life units are very noticeable because most of the starter cards are range attackers. But in this unit, there are also melee attackers and only a few are magic attackers. Speaking of magic attackers, there is one card that I notice this week, the DAX PARAGON. This monster is not one of the starter cards but I notice this card because it is the featured card for this week's battle challenge. Another thing that I notice on this card is its overall ability.
So, to further discuss that, let's start the feature!
THE CARD POWER
DAX PARAGON is an Epic Life Monster with no ability at Level 1. This monster has one (1) magic attack, two (2) speed, and three (3) lives. Looking at its mana, we can say that it is so affordable and can be use on low mana fights. By evaluating its overall ability, we can say that this monster is below average monster at Level 1. Magic attacks are good but one (1) attack can only do one damage. That is the reality. Also, its life is only three (3), meaning it has only 60% chance of staying in the field for at least two rounds. That is so low. In terms of speed, this monster has only 10% chance of evading a melee or range attacks. That is also low, but at least it has chance to evade.
Even though this monster has below average power in Level 1, at the next levels, this monster gains powerful abilities and stats improvement.
Gives an additional damage to Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns. | |||
Once a monster was targeted by another monster with this kind of ability, that monster will be unable to heal. |
AMPLIFY. This ability is a perfect support for monsters with Magic Reflect, Thorns, and Return Fire ability. Elevating the damages that these abilities can give would be a huge advantage in the game.
AFFLICTION. Healing abilities are lethal to monsters with two or less damages because it only means that they cannot really give damage to that specific monster. But due to the power of affliction, we do not have to worry more.
BATTLE TECHNIQUES
Most of the time, battle techniques are the key to win the game. Also, it is a way to unlock the full strength of other cards. With that, here are the battle techniques that you can consider while using Dax Paragon:
- NEVER PLACE THIS MONSTER IN THE TANK POSITION. Dax Paragon has a magic attack, meaning it can attack the tank monster of the opponent at any position. Due to that there is no need for it to be in the first position just to make an attack. Also, this monster has a low life. It can die quickly. It would be a waste of monster ability if this monster got eliminated earlier in the battle.
- LEVEL UP THIS MONSTER. Honestly, this monster is more powerful on a higher level even though it has low stat. So focus on using higher level Dax Paragon.
- PAIR UP THIS MONSTER ON MONSTERS WITH THORNS, MAGIC REFLECT AND RETURN FIRE ABILITY. Dax Paragon is different from other monsters we had featured because this monster is not made to stand out on its own, but it was made to support other monsters. Finding the perfect card for this monster would be the key to winning the battle.
So that's all for today, guys. Thank you!
