I love death splinter especially in low mana battles. Carrion shade is the perfect card to throw in a team combination especially when there is an equalizer rule set. Even without it, 1 mana for 2 health and with 1 attack! Why not? This as become one of my favorite monsters to synergize with others.
Let us take a closer look at the Monster Stats:
When you level him up, you'll get the flying ability, 4 speed, 3 health, 2 attack for 1 mana cost. It's going to be extremely useful in a lot of situations.
The price right now is ideal too, by the time I check, it is $0.036 per bcx. I am thinking to max this out.
Here is the battle link for my weekly battle with Carrion Shade:
Let me share my reason for the team now.
The game has the following rules:
- Earthquake,
- Neutral monster cannot be used in battle.
- Fire, death, and dragon splinters can be chosen.
- Mana limit: 24
Usually when there is a earthquake/poison ruleset, I immediately think of death splinter because of the immunity from Harklaw and the flying ability from Riftwing. But since I have not maxed out my death summoner for gold league, I think Kretch the dragon summoner can give a great synergy between the monsters and have a higher probability of winning me this game. I decided that I need some flying abilities, I need to have poison ability as I speculate that there may be a healing monster to get through this earthquake ruleset. I also need to have a full team of six monsters so that my Riftwing will be able to gain extra health when the other monsters die off.
I decided to go with the following team -
Summoner: Kretch
Void Dragon: Good Tank magic attack, and also with flying ability for the ruleset
Corpse Fiend: 0 mana, free health for Riftwing and also will take a hit for the team.
Carrion Shade: Somewhat an off-tank here and free health for Riftwing, positioned here so that it can perform damage soon.
Riftwing: My go-to when the ruleset is earthquake/poison. Because other monsters die off quickly and it can usually sustain for a few rounds from their deaths.
Venari Bonesmith: The poison and 2 magic attack are great combo here, combined with earthquake ruleset, yum.
Dragon Jumper: Flying ability with 3 damage and opportunity! Positioned last to protect venari bonesmith and riftwing.
Hope you liked the battle. Let me know your thoughts on my team selection in the comments below.
