Update on My Play-to-Earn Journey

Hey everyone! It’s been about a week and a half since my last post, so I’m here with another update on my earnings and experiences in the play-to-earn space.

Illuvium Progress

Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into Illuvium, averaging about two runs per day. Today was particularly exciting—I got lucky and found three resplendent shards through one of the big shard drops. These typically sell for about $0.60 each, but I refine them into cured shards, which sell for around $0.90 each after factoring in the fuel cost (paid in ETH).

I’m also selling epic and rare shards at floor value. Altogether, this strategy nets me about $1.50–$3.00 per day from under an hour of gameplay. My approach is simple: I focus on white stones, prioritizing pure white ones because they have the highest shard drop rate.

For my runs, I stick to Tier 3 expeditions, which cost 1,350 fuel each (about $0.29 per run). I also sell Tier 3 ingots when I gather enough materials, focusing mainly on ethersteel ingots since they’re the most valuable.

While my strategy is effective for steady earnings, there’s potential to earn much more if you’re skilled at catching Illuvials, particularly holographic ones in Tier 3 regions. Scanning the region (2,700 fuel, ~$0.59) can be worth it if you aim for high-value catches. For those interested, I recommend checking out this YouTube video for affordable team setups—it’s a bit dated but should still work since there haven’t been many updates to Illuvium’s Overworld.

Splinterlands Updates

I’m still enjoying Splinterlands. Recently, I purchased a Fizbo card from Aqualis because they offer 3% cashback in DEC. Fizbo is a great card, even at level 1, as it brings healing to the red team—a feature it never had before. With the upcoming modern format expected in April, this card’s value could increase. I snagged it for $30, which felt like a bargain.

My goal is to level Fizbo up to silver (three copies needed). I’ve also been placing bids on gold foil summoners through Peakmonsters, focusing on maxing out gold foils for the Rebellion set in silver.

When it comes to SPS, I’ve been holding onto it, especially after buying in when it was just $0.007. I fund my account through card sales and have chosen to focus on gameplay and rentals over land ownership. Selling my alpha and beta gold cards allowed me to redirect funds toward SPS and gold Rebellion cards.

On average, I earn 120–180 SPS daily by using 70+ energy, earning 3–5 SPS per win. Although I recently lost in a tournament, I’m still participating. If I don’t see better results soon, I might take a break from tournaments.

Golem Overlord Earnings

I’m also playing Golem Overlord, claiming PART every 3.5 hours and during a long claim while I sleep. This nets me around 1,500–2,000 PART per claim, adding up to over 10,000 PART daily. At current prices, that’s roughly $2 across my two accounts.

PART has been holding steady in value, partly due to the increase in HIVE. I’ve been selling daily at consistent times. Moving forward, I plan to write dedicated posts about my Golem Overlord earnings—probably weekly or bi-monthly updates.

That’s all for now regarding my play-to-earn activities. I have other earning avenues I’ve mentioned in previous posts, and I’ll revisit those in future updates. Thanks for following along—stay tuned for more!
