My Investment Strategy in Digital Card Games and NFTs

Lately, I’ve been focused on Splinterlands and have shifted my strategy away from purchasing Rebellion cards for the time being. I noticed an opportunity in Chaos Legion packs, which were priced at all-time lows of $0.25 per pack. I’ve been buying packs in the range of $0.25–$0.30 per pack, and so far, I’ve acquired about 900 of them.

I hired someone to open the packs for me at a cost of 10 DEC per card for both potions. As a result, I ended up with a few Gold Foil Legendaries, which I’ve sold to reinvest in more packs. I’m also selling all Gold Foils except the Epics, which I plan to use later for land-related purposes.

For the remaining cards, I’ve maxed them out for Bronze and activated XBOT to play them automatically. While this doesn’t generate much income, it provides a small return for now. My ultimate goal is to keep buying packs and "gamble" my way to a maxed-out Chaos Legion set, so I won’t need to rent cards.

In the upcoming Survival season, I plan to combine the cards to max out at Silver. I’ll have a few sets of Silver Chaos Legion cards and assess the returns from there. The plan is to continue purchasing packs until I break even. Currently, I’m making about $10–$15 per 100 packs based on the market prices on PeakMonsters. On SplinterCards.com, the value of a Chaos Legion pack is around $0.09 at the time of writing. However, this value fluctuates, so I may slow down on my pack purchases as prices change.

Recently, there was a brief opportunity in the market where Rebellion packs could be sold for a profit of about $0.40 per pack, but that window closed quickly. Now, there’s no profit to be made unless you’re willing to hold and sell them later when the floor price increases due to limited supply.

Parallel Aftermath Packs Investment

I’ve also been buying Parallel Aftermath packs, which are currently very affordable. With the price of PRIME dipping to around $3, the cost of an Aftermath pack is roughly 33$. I’ve bought six packs so far, paying $3–$3.50 per PRIME, and each pack costs 11 PRIME.

I’ve already sold two rare cards, which covered the cost of the remaining cards. This has resulted in about $400 in profit from the rest of the cards. I also pulled a Prime Variant card that fits well in Earthen decks, which I’ve listed for sale at 0.15 ETH (though I’m open to offers). I’ve rented out many of the cards on LootRush.com, generating passive income while I hold the cards for a future price increase. Most common cards rent out for a flat $0.005 per card, and so far, about 30% of my cards have been rented. The rest are listed for sale, and if you’re interested, you can find them under the "kingsuniverse" listing on OpenSea.

Given the current market conditions, I plan to reinvest the profits into more Aftermath packs and potentially buy some Chaos Legion packs with the ETH earned. I strongly believe that Parallel has a bright future, and I’m committed to playing daily, where I earn around 0.3 PRIME per day. Right now, I’m in Platinum 2 and on a 10-win streak, aiming for Diamond rank to double my PRIME earnings. I’m confident that my deck has what it takes to get there.

Gods Unchained

In Gods Unchained, I’m selling off most of my Gold cards, leaving me with about $100 in value. I still have three decks in the base rarity, so I can come back to play whenever I want. If the GODS token price rises to around $0.30, I’ll likely return to the game. Until then, I’m liquidating my cards to reinvest in more packs in Splinterlands and Parallel. I’ve kept some of the Gold Foils, particularly those that are renting on LootRush, to earn passive income.

Illuvium Updates

Illuvium Overworld has recently undergone significant changes. The price per run in the game is increasing, and most items are being removed as NFTs, transitioning to in-game items instead. There’s been no word on whether a market will remain. You also won’t need Cure Shards anymore. Given all these changes, I’ve decided to move on from Illuvium and no longer see a reason to continue.

Crownrend: A New Game on Hive

I recently started playing Crownrend on Hive, which is somewhat similar to Golem Overlord, though with a different economy. The game is top-heavy, and I wish I’d waited before getting in, as the price of the in-game currency, DENAR, has dropped about 80% since I joined. I’m not sure if it’s a good time to join now, as the price may continue to fall.

However, you can earn by using DENAR to buy chests, opening them to either sell what you get or burn them for ORI, which can be sold as well. It’s essentially a leveling-up system where you attack other players. It’s simple and user-friendly. If you’re interested, you can use my referral link here. I think I get some Hive if you pay the $10 fee in HIVE.

Thanks for reading and come back for more.
